How do I add the chat widget to my website?

After signing up, you'll get a small JavaScript snippet from your dashboard. Paste it into your website's HTML (usually before the closing </body> tag), and the widget appears instantly. We also have plugins for WordPress and WooCommerce that make it even easier.

How does the AI know how to answer my customers' questions?

Chateta uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). You upload your knowledge base (FAQs, docs, product info) and the AI searches it in real-time to provide accurate, contextual answers. It never makes things up; every response is grounded in your data.

What happens when the AI can't answer a question?

When the AI isn't confident in its answer, it automatically hands off the conversation to a human agent in your team inbox. Your team gets full context of the conversation so they can pick up right where it left off.

Can I control what the AI says?

Yes. The AI only responds based on the knowledge base content you provide. You can add, edit, or remove content at any time, and the AI adapts immediately. You can also set custom instructions to guide the AI's tone, language, and behavior.

How accurate is the AI?

Because Chateta uses RAG instead of generic AI, responses are grounded in your actual data. This means the AI doesn't hallucinate or make things up. In practice, most customers see the AI resolving around 70% of incoming queries accurately without human intervention.

Does the AI learn and improve over time?

The AI improves as you expand and refine your knowledge base. When you notice gaps (questions the AI can't answer), you can add that content and the AI will handle those queries going forward. It's a continuous improvement loop.

Can the AI handle multiple languages?

Yes. Chateta's AI can understand and respond in multiple languages. If your knowledge base contains content in different languages, the AI will match the customer's language automatically.

What happens if I exceed my AI reply limit?

If you reach your monthly AI reply limit, the chatbot will gracefully hand off conversations to your human agents. You can upgrade your plan at any time to increase your limit, and the change takes effect immediately.

Can I switch between monthly and yearly billing?

Absolutely. You can switch from monthly to yearly billing at any time to save 20%. If you switch from yearly to monthly, the change will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

How does the 50% launch discount work?

Our launch special gives you 50% off any paid plan. Once you sign up at the discounted price, you lock it in forever, even after the promotion ends. This applies to both monthly and yearly billing.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan at any time?

Yes. You can upgrade instantly and only pay the prorated difference. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period so you don't lose access to features mid-cycle.

Do you offer refunds?

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you're not satisfied within the first 14 days, contact our support team for a full refund. No questions asked.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure payment processor. For Enterprise plans, we also support invoicing and bank transfers.

What's the difference between Pro and Ultra?

Pro is ideal for growing teams with up to 10 members and 5,000 AI replies/month. Ultra is designed for larger organizations needing up to 50 team members, 40,000 AI replies/month, plus advanced features like SSO/SAML, custom AI training, SLA guarantees, and a dedicated account manager.

Is there a free trial for paid plans?

We don't offer a time-limited trial, but our free plan lets you use Chateta indefinitely with core features. This way you can evaluate the product without any pressure. When you're ready for more, all paid plans come with a 14-day money-back guarantee.

How long does onboarding take?

Most teams are fully set up within an hour. The widget installs in minutes, and uploading your knowledge base is straightforward. For Enterprise customers, we offer dedicated onboarding sessions with a customer success manager.

Do you offer onboarding support?

Yes. All customers get access to our documentation and email support. Pro and Ultra customers get priority support with faster response times. Enterprise customers receive a dedicated account manager and hands-on onboarding.

Can I import data from my current support tool?

You can import your existing FAQ content and knowledge base articles into Chateta. If you're migrating from another platform, our support team can help you transition smoothly.

Integrations & Channels

Which messaging channels do you support?

Chateta supports website chat (via our widget), WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram DMs, and email, all unified in a single team inbox. Slack and Shopify integrations are coming soon.

How does the WooCommerce integration work?

Once connected, the AI can look up order status, track shipments, and answer product-related questions directly from your WooCommerce store data. Customers get instant answers without waiting for a human agent.

Do you support Shopify?

Shopify integration is on our roadmap and coming soon. Currently, we have deep integration with WooCommerce. Sign up for our newsletter to be notified when Shopify support launches.

Can I connect Chateta to my CRM or helpdesk?

Ultra and Enterprise plans include API access, which allows you to integrate Chateta with your existing tools. For Enterprise customers, we also build custom integrations tailored to your workflow.

Do all channels feed into one inbox?

Yes. Every conversation, whether it comes from your website widget, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, or email, appears in a single unified inbox. Your team never has to switch between tools.

Customization & Branding

Can I customize the chat widget to match my brand?

Absolutely. You can customize colors, fonts, position, welcome messages, avatar, and more. The widget is designed to look and feel like a native part of your website.

Can I remove the Chateta branding?

Yes. Custom branding is available on Pro, Ultra, and Enterprise plans. You can replace the Chateta logo with your own and fully white-label the chat experience.

Can I set up automated welcome messages?

Yes. You can configure custom welcome messages that greet visitors when they open the chat widget. You can also set different messages based on the page they're viewing or whether they're a new or returning visitor.

Security & Privacy

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We follow industry best practices for security, and our infrastructure is hosted on secure cloud providers with regular security audits.

Is Chateta GDPR compliant?

Yes. Chateta is fully GDPR compliant. We provide data processing agreements, support data export and deletion requests, and give you full control over how customer data is stored and used.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored on secure servers in the EU and US. Enterprise customers can choose their preferred data region to meet local compliance requirements.

Can I delete customer conversation data?

Yes. You can delete individual conversations or bulk-delete data from your dashboard. We also support automated data retention policies on Ultra and Enterprise plans.
